This small, circular lake surrounded by greenery, is the arrival site of the water that flows underground from Katavothres. From its starting point at Katavothres, the water travels underground to Melissani Cave where it briefly resurfaces only to continue its journey to Karavomylos. At this point, the water flows through a water wheel and ends up in Karavomylos.
